About the Showcase

The London Youth Premier Showcase is an independent youth football programme operated by Beyond Education Sports Foundation, a Charitable Incorporated Organisation registered with the Charity Commission for England and Wales, charity number 1197957.

The programme has been established to advance participation in healthy recreation and to provide young people with opportunities to develop through competitive sport, education, personal development and positive community participation.

We are particularly committed to reducing barriers to participation experienced by young people and communities who may historically have been underserved or underrepresented within organised sport.

Our independence

The London Youth Premier Showcase operates independently and maintains its own competition rules, governance arrangements, safeguarding requirements and standards of conduct.

The competition is not represented as being affiliated to, operated by, or acting on behalf of The Football Association or any County Football Association.

Participating clubs and organisations remain responsible for ensuring that their participation in the Showcase is compatible with any separate memberships, affiliations, contracts or regulatory obligations that apply to them.

Equality, inclusion & anti-discrimination

Beyond Education Sports Foundation is committed to providing an environment in which participants are treated fairly, respectfully and with dignity.

Discrimination, harassment, victimisation and abusive conduct have no place within our programmes. Concerns raised with the Foundation are considered under our published safeguarding, complaints and disciplinary procedures.

Our approach is designed to encourage participation, address barriers to opportunity and create a sporting environment in which young people from all communities can participate and develop.

Safeguarding

The welfare of children and young people is a central priority.

Beyond Education Sports Foundation maintains safeguarding policies and procedures appropriate to its activities. Relevant personnel are subject to safer-recruitment procedures, appropriate checks and safeguarding requirements according to their responsibilities.

Safeguarding concerns should be reported through the Foundation’s published safeguarding procedure.

Governance & accountability

Beyond Education Sports Foundation is governed by its trustees, who retain responsibility for the charitable activities undertaken in the Foundation’s name.

The Foundation seeks to operate transparently, proportionately and consistently. Its competition, safeguarding, complaints, disciplinary and appeals procedures are reviewed periodically to ensure that they remain appropriate for the young people and communities we serve.

Participation & insurance

All participants in the London Youth Premier League, when registering to play, acknowledge that football is a full-contact and hazardous sport; hence we cannot take responsibility nor liability for any injuries sustained by participants. Individual organisations have been informed about the limitations of our insurance and have been advised that individual players should take out individual playing insurance as best practice.
